Relaxing
In the oldest part of the homestead are the living areas, one magical space leading into the next, and the next, each with vistas of the wilderness beyond.
Shadows and golden light play gently across quiet rooms. There is birdsong outside; conversation drifts in from nearby rooms.
The indoor living spaces comprise a large living room (with an open thatch roof and wood stove, giving direct access to the front and back stoeps), an enclosed stoep area (now a bright & airy study, also with access to the front stoep), and an interleading music room with a vintage upright Steinway piano.
All principal indoor and outdoor living spaces have wi-fi access points
There is no television at De Kruis but guests are free to download or livestream movies etc on their devices (livestreaming can be a little hit & miss)
Evening fires are prepared in winter

The homestead has a wonderful indoor / outdoor flow.
